Parliamentary Under Secretary of State Department for Energy Security and Net Zero

Elected as Member of Parliament for West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine in 2017, Andrew now serves as the UK’s first ever Minister for Nuclear and Networks in the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.  

In 2019, Andrew was appointed Parliamentary Private Secretary to the then Prime Minister, Theresa May. Since then, he has worked as the Conservative Party Vice Chairman (2019-2021), was a Minister for Exports at the Department for International Trade (Oct 2022-Feb 2023) and now serves as the Minister for Nuclear and Renewables.  

When not in Westminster, Andrew enjoys running, playing the violin, supporting Aberdeen FC, and walking his dalmatian, Winston, in the beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside with his family.
