Tamsyn Lonsdale-Smith
Tamsyn is a senior energy analyst interested in all things people and digital. She has worked on multiple projects around local authority energy planning and data and digitalisation. More recently, she has looked into flexibility procurement through network innovation studies to understand how new assets could be made to connect to the network while waiting for network investment. Tamsyn has worked on the Distribution Future Energy Scenarios, first as a lead analyst and then as a project manager, giving her a broad perspective on the whole energy system, scale of renewable energy ambition, and the investment needed to upgrade electricity network infrastructure. Under the Open Energy Data project with UK Power Networks, she has explored the data needs for local energy planning to facilitate data centralisation and availability, as well as awareness and accessibility.
