Joanna Thorpe

Joanna is Head of Talent Acquisition and Development for the global renewable energy service provider, Sonnedix. As the member of the company’s senior management team and UK Representative Director, she is responsible for talent attraction, acquisition and development, and diversity, equity and inclusion. Joanna is passionate about creating a diverse, inclusive workplace where everyone can develop and fully contribute to driving forward Sonnedix’s sustainable growth.

Prior to joining Sonnedix in 2018, Joanna consulted on marketing and communications in a range of organisations in the sustainability sector for ~10 years, including a built environment sustainability consultancy, anaerobic digestion start-up and the UK’s National Energy Foundation. Before this, Joanna held senior roles in the international leadership development organisation Common Purpose, the British Council, where she was posted to Malaysia, and business development in the mobile telecommunications sector. Joanna started her career at the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office. She has a BSc in Psychology and Sociology, MA Marketing and MSc Occupational Psychology. She is also a qualified executive coach.
