Chris Gill
As Investments Director & Head of Renewables, Chris leads the team responsible for reaching Kajima’s target to develop + 3.5GW of renewable energy projects over the next five years. In the UK, Kajima has established Taiyo Power & Storage, a joint venture with Low Carbon Alliance, and is currently developing a portfolio of large-scale ground-mounted solar and battery energy storage facilities. In Poland, in partnership with Griffin Capital Partners, Kajima acquired PAD RES, an experienced renewable energy developer in wind, solar, and energy storage and became the majority shareholder of Hymon, Poland’s second-largest rooftop solar PV and heat pump installation company.
Chris joined Kajima from international consultancy WSP, having previously spent four years at Balfour Beatty Investments, leading and closing deals in the renewable energy sector. Chris began his career at Addleshaw Goddard LLP, where he acted as legal adviser on several renewable energy projects, as well as advising on legislation, and energy and utilities regulation.
