Andrew Donovan

Andrew joined Schroders Greencoat (SG) in mid-2022 to provide senior support in UK solar and to lead its battery storage activities.

Prior to joining SG, Andrew developed a consented portfolio of c.250MW of UK battery storage projects with Capbal (2017-22).  Most of the portfolio was sold to GIG in 2021.  Separately, Andrew also advised on a number of M&A transactions primarily in the UK solar sector during that period.

Andrew previously worked with the same investment banking team from 1996 to 2016, originating and executing M&A and financing transactions in the utilities and infrastructure sectors at first Schroders, then Citi, Lexicon Partners and Evercore Partners.  He has specialised in the renewable energy sector since 2006, leading the London-based renewables teams at both Lexicon and Evercore on a range of solar, onshore & offshore wind, and flexible generation transactions.

Andrew started his professional career with Arthur Andersen (1992-96) in Dublin, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1994.  He holds a BComm and Master of Accounting from University College Dublin.
